Byline: David Cornwell has been presented with a long service badge and letter of appreciation from the RNLI’s Chief Executive Paul Bossier to mark his 20 years service to Eastbourne lifeboats
Page Content: At the presentation during Sunday’s crew meeting David, affectingly known as ‘Trigger’ to his crewmates, received the award from Operations Manager Paul Metcalfe. David first joined Eastbourne lifeboats in1992 at the tender age of 16 and helped with the slipway launching operations of the Rother class ‘Duke of Kent’. Now David’s main job is operating the station’s ‘Bobcat’ tractor which launches the inshore D-Class lifeboat from the beach at Fisherman’s Green.
