Byline: At 1135 hours on Friday 19th April, 2013 Belfast Coastguard requested the launch of Helensburgh RNLI Lifeboat after receiving a report from the Police that there was a man walking into the water off Havoc Park, Dumbarton

Once on scene, the lifeboat crew located the person who was actually fishing and not in any difficulty; it was therefore a false alarm with good intent.  As the tide was out, and the man was a considerable distance from shore, the first informant had been unable to see his fishing rod.  That being the case, the Lifeboat  returned to base and reported ready for service again at 1252 hours.
