Scot’s Mini Adventure hits the Highlands and passes 3000 mile mark.

A Scot, now living in Cornwall, is taking his classic Mini to Loch Ness RNLI station as part of his 5,000 mile plus trip.

Stevie Mann will be visiting over 165 RNLI lifeboat stations on his epic journey around mainland Britain and hopes to raise enough money for a new RNLI lifeboat.

The journey started at Land’s End on 1st September and Stevie will be visiting  Loch Ness on Tuesday 22nd September at 10am, before setting off towards Buckie, Macduff and Fraserburgh, finishing this leg at Peterhead in the evening.

Llewelyn Bailey, Loch Ness RNLI supporter says : ‘It’s pretty amazing. Stevie has committed endless days planning and 41 days to travelling to help buy a lifeboat for the RNLI.’

‘It’s a wonderful gesture that will definitely help the charity to save lives.’

The car is a standard 1989, 998cc Mini and has been painted in RNLI blue and orange. It has a tracking device fitted and his current position can be seen via his website at http://stevie-mann.com/mini-rnli/

Stevie is staying each night in the Mini or as a guest of RNLI volunteer crews. He will be staying in Drumnadrochit on the night of the 21st September.

Stevie can be contacted on 07779 779 798 (or 01456 459 377 until 9am on 22nd September) or emailed on mobile@stevie-mann.com
