Byline: RNLI’s educational resources are real lifesavers
Page Content:

With the key objective of promoting safety through learning, The Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) charity is exhibiting its superb range of targeted educational materials on stand HZ-H61 at the Education Show 2008.

The resources – everything from downloadable interactive whiteboard activities to lesson plans and teacher packs – are closely linked to the national curriculum, covering subjects including PSHE, Science, History, Literacy and D&T across several key stages. Available free-of-charge from the RNLI’s Shorething site, rnli.org.uk/shorething/adults, they offer a prime opportunity to use a lifesaving charity as a learning stimulus.

Demonstrations of the excellent whiteboard activities, including the new ‘Wordplay’ literacy section of the Shorething site, are available from the RNLI stand in the Healthy Schools Zone of the Education Show. Samples of the resources are also on offer.
