Criccieth-RNLI-Helmsmen-presented-with-Long-Service-Badges

Byline: On Thursday the 25 of July, 2013 two of Criccieth’s RNLI lifeboat crew were presented with Long Service Badges honouring 20 years service. Clive Wright and Chris Fisher joined the station as teenagers, before progressing to being Helmsmen.
Page Content: The Badges were presented to Clive and Chris by the RNLI’s Wales and West Divisional Inspector, Matt Croft at the station’s Annual General Meeting.  Matt Croft noted their respective service histories and continuing high standard of service.  In addition to being a Helmsman, Clive is the station’s Lifeboat Training Coordinator, whilst Chris served as the station’s boat mechanic for a number of years.  Over the course of the past two decades they have been involved in numerous resuces and helped save many lives.

Following the presentation, Criccieth Lifeboat Operations Manager, Peter Williams added to Matt Croft’s sentiments by stating “Clive and Chris joined the station as soon as they were old enough and ever since has served the station with professionalism and commitment.  Luckily, they are still young enough to help train and mentor other crew members given their wealth of knowledge and experience as well as continuing as operational Helmsmen.  I congratulate both of them on receiving their Long Service Badges”.
