After launching at 0943 hours, the lifeboat proceeded to the area where the crew located the vessel, a small speedboat with anchor and no signs of recent occupancy. It appeared the vessel had originally been beached and had been washed off shore on a recent high tide. The boat was towed to a slip at Port Glasgow where the Coastguard Sector Manager was going to arrange disposal. After returning to base, the Lifeboat reported ready for service again at 1055 hours.
