Criccieths-RNLI-lifeboat-launches-to-inundated-vessel

Byline: At 5.09pm on March 1st, 2014 Criccieth’s inshore rescue boat was launched following reports of an inundated vessel listing heavily in Porthmadog Harbour.
Page Content: Following a call from a concerned member of the public, the station launched its Arancia class lifeboat, Margaret a Nantw, from the slipway at Porthmadog.  The concerned vessel, named Tokimata – a 35 foot steel hulled vessel – was listing heavily and its mast was blocking the main channel in the harbour.

On scene, volunteer crew members accessed the boat and decided to re-float the vessel by using a pump to clear the water.  Once buoyant again, the vessel was moved to a new mooring and made safe.
