Page Content: The lifeboat located the casualty and a crewman was placed onboard the vessel which was then taken under tow for a mooring off Whitstable Yacht Club. The owner of the craft came from Staffordshire.

The lifeboat was again launched at 3.05am on Friday morning to assist the yacht Citara De Let with two persons and a cat onboard that had gone aground on Thursday afternoon near Fowley Island in The Swale.

A crewman was again placed onboard the casualty vessel and the yacht towed off into deeper water. The lifeboat then escorted the craft to a mooring.

There have now been 37 calls on Whitstable’s volunteer lifeboat crews so far this year.
