Volunteer crew launched the All-weather Trent Class Lifeboat at 11:03pm to a
Utility Vessel in difficultly around Cromarty Harbour.

With
gale force winds gusting around 50knots and rough sea conditions, the crew made
best speed to the ‘Morag M’ a 68ft Utility Vessel who suffered an engine
problem when trying to berth in the shelter of Cromarty Harbour.

Arriving
on scene around 11:15pm the crew quickly established a towline to help secure
the vessel and assisted in ensuring it berthed safely from the deteriorating
weather conditions.

The
Lifeboat then made it’s way back to her berth in Invergordon West Harbour,
where she was refuelled and ready for service by 00:20.
