Byline: On Tuesday 28th July at 5.23 pm, Amble RNLI volunteers launched the all-weather lifeboat The Four Boys to assist a cabin cruiser that was in difficulty 4 miles north east of Amble harbour.
Page Content: The skipper of the 21 foot cabin cruiser Bede had reported to HM Coastguard that they had steering problems and requested urgent assistance.  The all-weather lifeboat quickly arrived on scene and assessed the situation.  Four persons were found to be on board the vessel and they were all well.  A tow line was quickly established by the volunteers and the stricken vessel was towed back to the safety of Amble harbour.
